Receive orders for glass beads, remaining road paint, aggregates
Order gaffer’s tape, paint rollers, fume masks and safety equipment
Order marquee
Confirm and order epoxy resin for planters
Secure use of propane heater to dry wet street, Oxford City Works?
Powerwash relevant section of street on Friday 1 October
Commission Victorian Cycle Rack (Witney Welding picks up Monday, 27 Sept)
Sign off final name of project, commission brass plaque, print invitations
Alert residents, church, nursing home
Finish and deliver BCR risk assessments to OCC

SATURDAY, 2 OCTOBER

Street prep:

9 AM: Assemble, tech briefing, health and safety briefing, assemble materials
10 AM: Close road, erect marquee, ‘wet paint tape’, setup paint mixing depot
Potters’ technicial Kevin Hanson to introduce glass bead handling techniques
Mix glass bead and aggregate in large wheelbarrow

Paint ‘carpet’ C1 and strip RC1
Mix Venetian Red paint
Measure up, mask area, colour layout squares to plan
Paint ‘Venetian Red’ (3 man crew inc mixer/manager)
Allow to dry, remove tape markings from ‘Fawn’ areas, leave tape markings for blank squares
Sweep excess sand and beads from street
Mix Fawn paint
Paint ‘Fawn’ and scatter bead/aggregate mixture (4 man crew inc mixer/manager and scatterer)
Allow to dry, remove all tape, sweep street

Planter retroreflective testing and application:

Test bead/aggregate mixture with epoxy resin on test board
Allow to dry, bring board into dark room, test effect and evenness of retro-reflective surface
Repeat test if necessary
Powerwash planters, drill holes in base
Epoxy resin on planters, sprinkle beads (2 man crew).
7PM Open street to traffic


SUNDAY, 3 OCTOBER

Street prep:
9 AM: Assemble, tech briefing, health and safety briefing, assemble materials
10 AM: Close road, erect marquee, ‘wet paint tape’, setup paint mixing depot

Paint carpet C2 if time allows, otherwise:
Continue with planter epoxy resin and aggregate

7PM Open street to traffic


WEEK OF 4 OCTOBER

Carry on with planters if appropriate
Continue to schedule labourforce for 16/17
Press release, draft and coordinate with other press offices
Source and purchase trellis planters


SATURDAY 16 OCTOBER

Paint ‘carpets’ C2, C3, C4 and strip RC2

Reorder supplies if necessary, press handling and further PR
Receive delivery of Victorian Cycle rack, primed and ready to assemble


SATURDAY 23 OCTOBER (BEGINNING OF HALF-TERM BREAK)

Street prep:
9 AM: Assemble, tech briefing, health and safety briefing, assemble materials
10 AM: Close road, erect marquee, ‘wet paint tape’, setup paint mixing depot
Mix glass bead and aggregate in large wheelbarrow.

Cycle racks
Paint cycle racks, small planters
Retroreflective beads on cycle racks and small planters

Carpet painting:
If not already done, paint ‘carpet’ C5 and extensions (NOTE SPEC CHANGE HERE), C3, C4 (6 man crew).

ROAD REMAINS CLOSED TO TRAFFIC THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT


SUNDAY 31 OCTOBER

Street prep:

10 AM: Close road
Signs on posts end of street
Erect marquees
Erect podium
Decorate trees with solar lights
Pink and Black to erect refreshments table
Plant plaque
Set up PA
4:30: Assemble minders and party hosts, briefing, health and safety review
5:00: Guests arrive, opening programme begins
5:30: Opening ceremony
5:40: Trick-or-treat
6:30: Music programme stops, refreshments stand
8:15: Pack up remaining marquees, podium, clean up.
9:00: Street reopens to motor traffic
